Sint-Niklaas SYU News Update
SPEED-You-UP Sint-Niklaas travelled around to visit the hubs from other project partners. We came, we saw and we were proud! David Rennie, Miranda Adams and Femke Van Stappen promoted the SPEED-You-UP project during the Career Day at Humphry Davy School in Penzance. We reached a lot of young people who were very excited to fill in a questionnaire about their business idea. The fact that they could win a box of chocolates was probably an extra motivator.
Next stop was Farnbourough for a lovely chat with Peter Grant and Adriana Crear. I was also invited to a real life SPEED-You-UP session with Saffron Owen in The Sixth Form College Farnbourough.
After the energizing visits in the UK, I had some appointments in Belgium as well. The hubs in Ostend and Sint-Niklaas are up and running, so it was time to have a chat with the young people who enrolled in the project. Amazing to see and hear what a great job they are doing. They are enthusiastic, motivated and inspiring to talk to.
And last but not least, let me present you our new SPEED-You-UP colleague, Bjorn Debusschere. We are so happy and grateful to welcome him to our team! He will organize train-the-trainers for our coaches, contact interesting entrepreneurs, look for nice locations for installing a hub and so much more… You are already doing great, Bjorn!

Sint-Niklaas SYU Nieuws Update
SPEED-You-UP Sint-Niklaas reisde rond om de hubs van andere projectpartners te bezoeken. We kwamen, we zagen en we waren trots! David Rennie, Miranda Adams en Femke Van Stappen promootten het SPEED-You-UP project tijdens de Career Day op Humphry Davy School in Penzance. We bereikten veel jonge mensen die erg enthousiast waren om een vragenlijst in te vullen over hun bedrijfsidee. Dat ze een doos chocolade konden winnen, was waarschijnlijk een extra motivator.
De volgende stop was Farnborough voor een heerlijk gesprek met Peter Grant en Adriana Crear. Ik werd ook uitgenodigd voor een real life SPEED-You-UP sessie met Saffron Owen in The Sixth Form College Farnborough.
Na de energieke bezoeken in het Verenigd Koninkrijk had ik ook enkele afspraken in België. De hubs in Oostende en Sint-Niklaas zijn up and running, dus was het tijd om een praatje te maken met de jongeren die zich inschreven voor het project. Geweldig om te zien en te horen wat een geweldig werk ze doen. Ze zijn enthousiast, gemotiveerd en inspirerend om mee te praten.
En last but not least, laat me u onze nieuwe SPEED-You-UP collega, Bjorn Debusschere, voorstellen. We zijn zo blij en dankbaar om hem te verwelkomen in ons team! Hij zal train-the-trainers organiseren voor onze coaches, contact opnemen met interessante ondernemers, op zoek gaan naar leuke locaties voor het installeren van een hub en nog veel meer... Je doet het super, Bjorn!
