SYU legacy training is proving popular!
Devon Mind has organised two Speed You Up ‘Train the Trainer’ sessions in November and December and places have been booking up fast. Olivia and Donna are delighted that there has been so much interest from teachers and practitioners who are working with at Risk NEETS and NEETS. It has also been encouraging that two or more people are coming from each organisation.
The two-hour face-to-face sessions will be run by Olivia and Donna. The sessions will involve the participants trying out some SYU activities so they can get a feel for what the materials can offer their young people. ‘We are so looking forward to the training sessions, we are also pleased that a teacher that was involved with the school Hub is also happy to talk about her positive experience of SYU and what the students gained’, said Donna, SYU Coordinator.
Getting familiar with the SYU website will also help the facilitators feel more confident in finding the modules and planning lessons.
